So these last few days I've been wondering about powders, going through the two reloading manuals that I have I've noticed that there are few makers of 4350 powder and a other powder types to. My question is what is the differance between manufacters?
Also I've recantly picked up the RCBS reloader starter kit and noticed that there is a priming arm that you flip up and into place just before the sized case is brought fully removed from the sizing die. What would the advantage be to using a seperate primming tool or wil that little primming arm do well enough for now?
Some time this week when I get the chance I want to pick up the book "The ABC's of reloading" as well as some powder, primers and bullets.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer another reloader newbie's questions

P.S. I'll be reloading for a .270wsm shot out of a remington 700sps, any recepies that ya might wanna share?

Burn rate. They may be close, but there is a difference. Do not mix them!!!

IMHO, the advantages of a separate tool is less handling of the primers and speed. Will your attached arm work? Yes. I have one on my press and I think it's a PITA.

"...do well enough..." Yep. The only advantage of a separate tool is that you can prime cases while watching TV. I've always used the RCBS auto-primer feed and the arm, but it's really a matter of preference. However, you'll want to clean the primer pockets before you put in a new primer.
