More of Springs harvest

Anybody else been finding these morrels out turkey hunting? The calls are roughly 3 1/2" dia. for comparison.

Rained here. Then snowed. 15 cm later?????? No mushrooms for a while.

Lots around here.My buddy has them all over his lawn.I am soon do to harvest them.DAN>>>

I harvested literally a truck bed full of shrooms last August/Sept. 8 or 9 different types. I dried most of them and use them in soups and sauces throughout the year. They really add flavour to dishes that most people like but can't quite place.

Only if you are really stupid and/or careless. 90% of the time a misidentification would only result in a bad taste or a mild case of the Hershey squirts. That said, if you can't positively ID it, don't chow down.

I am embarrassed to say ive never actually had a morrel. I however just finished enjoying another of springs bounty ~ Leeks!
