Not recent but from two years ago. Still a great day that I tjought I would share. Aidan was 5 at the time and Hunter 2. Poacher, (tacky name I know) was also 2.
Rabbit run.
Set snare.

Look closer and see attached snare. He had broken free (a nick in the wire) and was trailing wire behind him. This would catch on brush and slow him down as he tried to flee. I chased him but could never get closer than 10 yards. More open terrain loomed and \i was afraid of losing him.
So I called on the CLEANER.
Bunny was alive when he caught him but I guess the stress was too much for him on the retrieve. Not a mark on the meat or hide by the way.
End of the morning.
