Just got off the phone with the boys at ROBARMS.

1) XCR barrels in match are supposed to be out end of summer (read next year).

2) 6.5 and 6.8 are supposed to ship end of month.

woohoo.
 
yeah there was no mention of barrels, but when are these kyle arms non restricted black rifles coming out?

what do they look like?

Well, even if Robarm is ready to ship, the US gvt might not allow the export... I recently tried to buy a new gas regulator for my XCR... They said "no problem!" then a few days later called back saying the US is now denying them export permits for anything shipped to Canada... My order is still on the book and they said they would ship if they ever get the permission.

Damn governments. I was wondering why Wolverine Supply couldn't meet the demand for these rifles.

I sure hope Bushmaster decides to rename the ACR from Adaptive Combat Rifle to Adaptive Hunting Rifle... or better yet, just go back to calling it the Masada. Anything with "combat" in the name is bound to get caught in red tape from at least one of the governments.

My swiss arms rifle says "SNIPER" right on the side of it from the factory and it is non restricted, so this is not always true.

Thats because it was exported from Switzerland not the US. The US Department of State is loathe to let anything "Combat" related out of the country unless it is a gov't to gov't sale. Thats why they get pissy about shorty AR barrels, .50 cal anything, M203s etc.
 
What? I want one in 308. Where are the 308 xcr's? I'll pay big cash for one, however, i read a review that they suck, compared to an AR. I don't care cause ARs are restricted and you can't go into the bush with em. Makes 'em usless. I miss the old days before Kim Campell showed her fat :) .

What review was this jamiejaf? The only reviews I saw were positive and I'm more than happy with mine but I don't own an AR yet so I can't compare. It shoots straight and has digested 500 rounds without a hitch, dunno what more it should do? I'm no expert but it seems decent.


I haven't seen anything on a .308 yet but 6.5/6.8/7.62x39 are either available (in the US at least) or will be soon.
