mosin 91/30 b square mount

hey guys im gonna be installing a b sqaure mount on my 91/30 mosin, i removed the rear sight leaf, do I have to remove the leaf spring as well? Im hoping another mosin owner who has installed this mount can give me their 2 cents

Put the rear sight back on before you get pissed of at the mount & burn the rifle on general principal.

im already having issues with it, the hole on the b square mount doesnt line up perfectly with the holes on the side of the sight assembly so now i have to either drill bigger holes or find a small pin to stick thru, its off by half a millimeter.

Thats cause it was designed to do nothing but cause aggravation & waste ammo. There are much better mounts but I am not up to date on whats best.

Hello,

The Brass Stacker mount is the best one. I've tested it and found it to be very nice! Combine it with the raised cheek rest and you've got yourself a shooter that retains the iron sights!
