Admittedly, I've only dabbled with the milsurp stuff for the last couple years, but I have never seen an "original" 91/30 sniper rifle. Some very nice fakes using period bits tho...

Also reproduction SVT-40's snipers with reproduction mounts and scopes stamped with WW2 dates for around $1000.00 do not be fooled by them.

Now all that being said, there seems to have been a fairly decent market for the knock-off rifles - There would most likely be some interest in a knock-off SVT sniper if it could be done for the same(ish) $$$ as the 91/30 clones.

I picked up a fairly nice cross-cut sniper SVT last year but let it go when I couldn't find a deal on mount and scope. I wasn't paying $600 for optics.

I've seen some original ones in Latvia and the price was way over 2000.00 CAD....Original Finn snipers were priced even higher than that.

Now if these come including the original scope,mounts,etc. Then they would be interesting items

SVT sniper "repros" are usually in the 1100-1400 range

Real Sniper SVT40s are $600 with out optics and repo optic with mount are about $400-$500
Import the rifles and optics seprately so people have a choice weather they want the repo optics or not.
