Ended up with a 91/30 in a archangel stock that I'm planning on turning into a low budget "precision" gun, barrel chopped to 19",muzzle break, rock solid industries scope mount, and the bent bolt mod,but I don't want the cheap looking, and frankly ugly threaded and tapped handle route.

Does anyone offer the welded bent bolt mod here in Canada?

I bought a bent bolt from corwin a couple years back, came tapped and threaded into the bolt body with a poorly done tack on the bottom side, which broke upon the first racking of the action.

Welded it solid myself and it's been working great for me ever since.

I don't know your mechanical prowess, but if you have a few basic tools its fairly easy to do yourself. I used a long 5/16 stainless Bolt with the threads and head cut off, bent it in a vice, cut off the old bolt handle, ground the body flat, drilled a shallow 5/16 hole for the new handle, then welded it in, did some clearance grinding, and soldered on a brushed steel 54R case for a knob. Other people have soldered the handle in with good results but I had a Tig welder handy so i went with overkill.
