hello there fellow gunnutz, i just recieved a m91/30 from SIR, it was $119 plus shipping, so the price was right. except...i get an idea why. on the outside, the rifle is beautiful, excellent condition (other than the unsightly century import making). however, the bore is shot to $hit. i initially thought is was counterbored and i saw absolutely no rifling at the muzzle. after ours of solvent and scrubbing the bore is of course still very pitted but i can some very weak rifling at the muzzle (the rest is of the rifling is tolerable). i think this is as clean as im going to be able to get it, so i'll just have to see how it shoots. i'll be happy with anything resembling a group as opposed to a pattern. but, i digress....im sorry. the real problem is the seemingly perfect bolt. what happens is that upon repeated dry firing (easing the striker forward with the thumb while the trigger is pulled) and cycling of the bolt, it gets harder and harder to open it until it is impossible. then i have to manually #### the bolt; it opens easily then. im noticing that as the bolt is cycled the firing pin screw at the back of the cocking knob gets out of alignment with the notches in the knob. if i remove the bolt, uncock it and return the firing pin into alignment, it shoots and opens fine a few times, then back to square one. any ideas on what i could do to stop the firing pin from rotating out of alignment? this never happens on my 1943 m38. the m91/30 is from 1937 by the way. any input is very much appreciated!!

thanks a lot guys!
