hi everyone took my 43 ishy m91/30 refurb out the other day this was my best group @ 600 mtrs russian surplus open sights.for such a low end rifle it sure shoots.10 shots 8 hits

500 setting sixoclock hold no bayonet had a spotter he talked me in 600 on the sight was way too high.

Good for you. well done. Most Mosins are not that good. I started with a Mosin that could get groups like that at 50 yards. Now I get groups that are 3.5 inches at 100 yards, but your groups blows mine away.

As whitey07's shooting partner/spotter that day, I should add that he failed to mention the 10mph cross wind. We started out shooting at a much larger saw blade target at the 600m line for sh*ts and giggles. When we realized that we were hitting what we were aiming at we switched to the smaller target in the picture. We also tried with an SVT-40 but the best we could do was put a good scare into the target without connecting.

Just picked my Mosin up from the post office today.Can only hope I can hit something like that at 300 yards!
