Mosin M38 questions

Jeez. I traded a CSA 11.8" for a Isreali K98 in 762 Nato, M1 Carbine and Mosin 91/59.

Then last year I picked up a M44 modified to be like M38 without the stock for 300$. I since put the proper bolt in it.

I put a no drill scout scope mount on my M38 and it makes for a real fast in the hand, handy carbine length 30'06 power weapon, what's not to like.I play with at the range while I let my long range rifles cool down.I like the M38 over my pristine Polish M44 because no bayonet and though my M38 is in excellent condition it's not a gem like the Polish M44.

I will keep on the look out for an M38 don’t fully care if it has the 44 or 38 stock. Anyone have expierence exporting from the US in terms of cost? Seems to be plenty of M38 down there at good prices.

It’s too bad ITAR is a thing as I will be down in the southern US over the summer and would love to bring one back.

Can anyone tell me what ammo makes the biggest fireballs? I've tried Czech Silvertip and PRC surplus but they didn't make much of a noticeable fireball on camera.
Also my m38 is a fun fairly accurate gun I got for $500 off the EE

I researched a little and it seems they are all around $200 to $250 USD. I would have to find one at less than $100USD to make it worthwhile so probably out of the question.

In my picture I am just shooting MFS 185gr fmj. Nothing special but a good price for commercial ammo.

I prefer the 91/30 and M44, the M38 seemed butt heavy to me.

Well that looks like FUN! Wonder if I should go load up on some 7.62 x 54R while it is still cheap and while I search for a Mosin. I can buy 880 round for cheaper than 400 rounds of .303 or 8mm

it's only going to go up so buy tins of it while you can. last batch i bought was Chinese made.
