Hey guys, I'm wanting to do a Mosin Nagant M44 scout build using a
-Brass Stacker See Thru Scout Scope Mount for Mosin Nagant M38 & M44
-Archangel Stock
-Timney Trigger
-Aim Sports 2-7X42 30mm Scout Scope/Rangefinder (8.5 to 10.5 inch eye relief)

I'm just curious, couple questions since I'm relatively new to firearms and mosin's especially:
-does this scope have enough eye relief? If not, what would be adequate? And I'm open to any other scout style scope suggestions
-will the scope mount interfere with the archangel stock in any way?
Try not to rake me over the coals for asking this stuff lol
Thanks,
Mitch

Ps hope this is the right forum

Mosin carbines serve as great scout builds. I've never mounted a scope on mine so no comment on eye relief. But its a common build and haven't heard of any complaints from those that have done it.
Do you have the rifle already? If not, I suggest a M38 as they are better balanced and lighter without the bayo of the M44.

Ahhhh good call thank you for the m38 idea, lighter the weight, the better! No I don't have the rifle yet, so the m38 will be my choice.
I'm having trouble locating a Timney trigger, out of stock on Accurate Actions' website.
So I'm guessing the archangel stock won't interfere with that particular scope mount I chose.
Thanks again Sir

That's a reasonable price absolutely, and I'll do some research on that scope and its' durability. 8 to 14 inches of eye relief sounds perfect to me though!!! Aim sports scopes we mostly what I was seeing pop up when I was google searching scout scopes etc etc, couple videos from guys in the states saying they weren't loosing zero after X amount of rounds, etc, that type of stuff. Thanks for the *seemingly* superior suggestion I appreciate it
Mitch

Hey guys, I went with the m38 from frontier firearms, I'm just having a hard time locating a Timney trigger. Checked a few places with no luck. Can anyone offer some advice or point me in the right direction?
Thanks
Mitch
