O.K. Good news, I got a shooter!!! Since last post I looked into renting a chamber reamer, they now have a disclaimer that says insurance does NOT cover "hard chamber damage" sounds like others have tried this remedy. So on another site a couple of guys had the same issue, one said to use brass rod , with a chisel point to dislodge broker steel case chip lodged in the chamber. Tried that, but it didn't work, so I scrounged around and found a 5/16 in. Dia. Polishing/grinding mounted stone on an 1/8in. Shaft, mounted it in the 1/4 in. 10 in. Long brass rod and used cordless drill. The obstruction, must have been steel chip was located just behind where the taper meets the neck at about 3 oclock. Ran the stone in the chamber and felt around until I felt the "bump" turned the drill on and moved it back and forth and I and out slightly, for just a few seconds, tried to chamber a round! It was better, bolt handle almost at the locking shoulder!!! One more go at it and it works great now, the bolt cycles just fine. Loaded 5 reduced loads (75% of full load) shot it and the brass shows no marks of damage, some expansion in shoulder area but the neck is tight, no blowby.!! Now to try some full loads, which I'm not looking forward to after some of the comments I heard about the recoil of these mules? Anyway it has been quite a learning experience, I get great satisfaction from working on and fixing and shooting these old warhorses or any gun for that matter, hope she is accurate enough to make the punishment worth it. Wish me luck. Thanks again to all that helped!!!!! Dugin
