Hello CGN,
I would like to tell you a quick tale. Since my 18th birthday, I have been searching for one of these carbines. Why? I was shown a picture by my grandmother of my great great grandfather who served as a Ukrainian Cossack/Mercenary in World War I. In the picture, he is astride a horse, proud and austere, and in his hands is a Mosin Nagant 1907 Carbine (much much too short to be a Dragoon, Cossack or M91). These, as you I'm sure know, are impossible to find as virtually none still exist.
Thus, my hunt for an M 91/38 ensues, as it is the only Imperial made/marked Mosin Carbine I know of, that I can aquire.
If you have one, I entreat you to let me know and perhaps we could make a deal, or if you know of someone. I wish to have, as close as I can, an example of my family history in the flesh and wood, a piece of my Ukrainian/Russo heritage.
If at the least, feel free to post pictures and discuss the carbine.
Sincerely,
Drachenblut
