Hi all - does anyone have a front barrel band spring for 91/30 Mosin, or can point me in the right direction? Ebay prices were ridiculous.

Thanks!

E-mail TradeEx and Marstar, either might have them in stock.

eBay.

Numrich will have it, based out of the US.

I'm sure theres plenty of guys willing to help you out, but you're right.....I dont know whats going on with Ebay prices.

Guy in Finland who sells 90% of all the Mosin parts coming into Canada is running low on stock.

^^^^^ A good suggestion they have a ton of piece parts and are helpful

Hope I'm not hijacking the thread, but I'm also in need of a front barrel band retainer spring. eBay prices are indeed crazy, Numrich is out of stock, and Rick Reich may not be good for me. Might have to give TradeEx and Marstar a shout.

I emailed Rick, no reply yet. His site shows the bands and springs in stock. Curious why he wouldn't be good for you?? (doesn't ship to Canada?)

I need a extractor and would love to get a hold of this guy in Finland. Anyone have his contact info? I will part this mosin out before i ever pay eBay prices.

I'd heard through a third party that he doesn't ship to Canada, but his email reply said otherwise. He only has rear retainers at the moment, but I'll check back in a couple weeks. I guess these things must be easily broken, considering how hard to find they are.

There might be light at the end of the tunnel...I found a machinist who can reproduce the part. Do I care if it wasn't made in Russia 80 years ago? No. Lol

Let me know what the outcome is! I'm very interested in getting any kind of spring in hand. I'd suspect a modern milled spring would be a little more robust than an 80+ year old version.
