In 2008 about 500 of Mosin Nagant carbines in M43 7.62x39 (or 7.62x41?) were exported from Ukraine. My guess - either to Canada, or Germany or USA. Has anybody seen them here?

That very much looks like the bastard child of a drunken one night stand between an M38 and an SKS...

Are you sure those aren't pics from Bubba's basement?

Cool, I've never heard of a Nagant in 7.62x39... looks kind of like a bolt-action SKS.

Anyways, no idea where this apparent shipment may be- could be anywhere now if they were originally moved out in 2008. Kind of doubt the US would have got them however, IIRC don't they have some sort of import ban in place?

Never seen one in Canada or the USA, so maybe Germany. I would post a notice on Gunboards to Karl Heinz he lives in Germany and he has written a couple of books on the Mosin-Nagant.

that would be sweet we could then put sks duckbills mags on them without being pinned since its bolt action

Um no. You couldn't.

Duckbill mags are designed for the semi auto SKS, so that is why they are pinned to 5, regardless of whatever other rifle you can fit them in.

Take the pin out of that mag, and you'll have a prohibited magazine.

Yeah! I'd buy one but I'd afraid to see how much it would cost to get it! If I had one to sell, an auction is the only way to get rid of a piece like that.

Here's a question, how much would you pay for one? Realistically, given the deals on Mosins and SKS' I'd find it hard to pay over $600 for one.
