mosin nagant carbine

Yeah, anyone that says they don't kick much, lies. I have no shame in popping a slip-on pachmeyer pad on the rifle butt, no bruises, just fun!

LoL... You said it! This summer my buddy and I took his 11 year old out to the range with us and he was determined that he was going to shoot my Mosin-Nagant 91/30... LoL We finally gave in and I loaded one round in the clip for him and stood behind him to catch him and my rifle after he shot it. Well long story short it happened just as i though it would and caught him and the mosin mid fall from the bench. hahaha We asked Mr. Matcho if he'd like to shoot it again and he said that he'd like to go home now, but convinced him to stay and take a few shot with my Axis .223. Hahahaha.... I've hunted with my Lee Enfield No. 4 Mk 1, (NON sporterized) since i was about 14 so I used to lugging around a beast. Enjoy your Mosin Nagant!

I can shoot my 91/30 waaaaaaaay more than my Jungle Carbine. My No5 kicks my ass!

Yeah, that's because the 91/30 is equivalent to the no.4, and the m44 is a close recoil match to the no.5. I actually find the no.5's hard, narrow, rubber recoil intensifier worse. I believe the idea of that pad was to prevent stock damage in vehicles and airborne landings, with no regard for the shooter, and that many stories of no.5 "issues", were attempts by soldiers to trade the painful bugger for something nicer, and preferably semi auto, after ww2.
