Mosin Nagant history look up

Hey everyone,

I recently just bought myself a "new" Mosin Nagant and was wondering if there is a why to find out
where the rifle was manufactured and possibly used as well.

Do a net search for Moisin Nagant markings. You won't find anything about where any military rifler was ever used. Nobody kept such records.

yep you will never find out where it was used but I can tell you if its a 91/30 it's most likely seen combat

I often wonder the same thing when I look at my Mosin...Where has it been, was it used in War...these Rifles just ooze history.

If it has a Star marking it was made by Tula Factory, If it has an Arrow inside a Triangle It was made a Izvezh Factory I think. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Were there other factories too?
