Howdy folks,

A few years ago when I was still in film school, we studied classic Russian cinema. Some of you are aware, "Battleship Potemkin" utilized the montage in a very modern way (not quite the way Rocky did... but it was a start ;) ) anyways, if you know about that movie, you may know about "Ten Days That Shook the World", a classic Soviet propaganda film that features a great scene for gun nutz. At 43:01 onward we get a brief but neat, stop motion assembly of a cartridge, and then of the mosin nagant. Not sure if this had been posted before. Hope you enjoy!

I have seen this movie a long time ago, thank you for reminding me.It's pure propaganda but it will be interesting to see it again.

Including assembly of a rifle in a major film is not something I have seen anywhere else and is interesting but seeing rifles carried barrel down a bit later on is something else not found on sliver screen.

There is a scene in the movie "Talvisota" where a Finnish civil guard soldier is shooting and reloading his M28/30 in slow motion.

In addition, I found the movie "Brest Fortress" to have some nice close ups of 91.30s and M38s as well as TT-33s and 1895 Nagant revolvers.

Katyn. A video named after the forest where thousands of Polish officers were murdered by the communists, mass graves found by the occupying Germans.

Some scenes are very gory, although it is something of what I would imagine took place after reading about the massacre several years ago. It's hard to verify some of the weapons depicted in the video, but for historical accuracy, the handguns would be Nagant revolvers and TT33, and of course the more common of Russian rifles of the time: Moisin Nagant.

Started watching Peter the Great a while ago, but got bored. :D The rifles carried by the soldiers looked like camouflaged Moisin carbines.
