Mosin Nagant pu sniper from SFRC thoughts

I bought mine from crappy tire a few years back and it's a legit one
Didn't think anyone still had them for sale any more, thought they were dried up
If SFRC got them from North Sylva then they are probably good but gotta be careful as there's lots of fakes out there

Theres a few SFRC mosin snipers for sale on the EE which is why I'm asking. From what I've gathered they are for real and not reproductions.

My son bought one from SFRC a few years back and it was the real deal and as a bonus came with a relatively uncommon version of the scope they used on these rifles. He has done some pretty good shooting with this rifle with both Chinese and Bulgarian ball ammo. We have purchased several rifles from SFRC and have been happy with all of them and I would say if SFRC says they were the real deal I would be OK with it.

I bought a mosin sniper from SFRC. It was real. You can buy with confidence from any site sponsor. Angry mobs would form if they were selling fake snipers.

The one that I am looking at has the trigger guard forced match and the scope mount electro-penciled. It was purchased from SFRC and as far as I know they only claimed to sell factory produced pu snipers.

Would the forced trigger guard match and scope mount electro-pencil make this a repro?

Sponsor status is not a guarantee of authenticity. There are sponsors that used to sell repro snipers. Some repro sniper were assembled abroad and legitimately imported and sold here along with authentic snipers. This ranged from restored ex-snipers (imported from Russia) to regular rifles fitted with repro-mounts and repro-scopes (imported from Ukraine).

One has to check rifle features, serials and mount/scope pictures to make a conclusion about authenticity, source of the rifle is not really relevant as you're paying for rifle, not for the company name that brought. Also information on where rifle was sourced could be incorrect.
The one I see on EE with SFRC reference, Russian export markings and chipped lens is legit Soviet refurb.

OP. If in doubt PM me the link I'll help you.

Not necessarily. The Soviets did a huge refurb job on these rifles just before they were put into storage after The Great Patriotic War. Electro-penciling the scope mount was common, as the scope and mount were not supposed to be separated from the rifle unless it was done by an armorer. When they were refurbished before storage, the armorers would electro-pencil the rifle serial number on the mount and would stamp the new scope serial number on the barrel shank.
