Nothing much you can try unless modifying the carbine and we dont encourage this on this forum. You could considera M91/30 sniper or a sniper clone if you can find one on the EE.
Reproduction mounts are easy to get but they must be fitted with the PU scope, copy or original. Mount were mounted on high wall rifle,but can be mounted in low wall. Putting a PU base require skill,by someone who know how to do and for the price of the parts, better buy a sniper rifle or a sniper clone.
