Hello,
I have a Sestroyetsk M-91 Mosin Nagant which has seen German and Finnish service, but the trigger has NOT been modified... I found on this non-Finnish modified trigger, that there is no double-stage on my Mosin. It is a single, long pull, getting tighter and tighter until it snaps, firing the round. Is this common for non Finned triggers? (All the Mosins I have owned to date have been Finned). I have noticed on my friend's M-91 that his Mosin Nagant, as well, has this slow one stage pull, but his trigger HAS been Finned. Reasons? Can the trigger be modified to be double stage?
P.S. How would a gunsmith go about making a rifle or pistol pull "less weight". A friend of mine has a Nagant 1895 revolver and I have thought of getting one, but I find the 21.5 lb double action trigger pull far too excessive and am curious how it could be backed off to say, 12-10 lbs?
Thanks,
Drachenblut
