I'm looking to buy one of these to play around with. Who has the best deals on them? What should I be looking for?

Crap I thought I was in the red rifles area can a mod move this for me

Hi Themaninblack,

EE as mentioned, or one of the sponsors (TradeEx is one I've bought from many times). The two most common models are quite cheap and great to shoot; basic milsurp at a very low price. The M44, the carbine, you sure feel it when you shoot. The 91/30 is longer and less of a kicking mule.

Ammo isn't always easy to find. When cases of surplus ammo is up for grabs you stock up.

I just got 91/30 today in the mail, ordered it from trade ex 5 days ago. Excellent company to deal with, the rifle was in good condition, it was cheap ($202 with shipping and tax!) and it got to my place fairly quick.

Give them a call if you're interested

Check out some sponsors of this site on regular basis - Frontier, Marstar, SFRC... Usually when one has some, the others do too. Check the EE section of the forum as well, there's often some up for grabs from time to time!

You probably need to consider reloading your own ammo, unless you shoot some caliber that can be supplied by surplus ammo (i.e. 7.62x39, or 7.62x54R...)

Epp's is listing a 91/30 Mosin Nagant with a good barrel at $179.
"...spending WAY to much..." Reloading is your friend. The cartridge uses a .311" bullet. Sierra makes a match bullet. Hornady makes a .3105" 174 grain FMJ. Load data is plentiful.
