Just got my 1938 Izhevsk. Wood stock is a beaut and in very good condition. Much nicer than my 1953 Tula SKS. Now I just hope I got a reasonably accurate one.

I was also concerned about the loose packing. To folks still waiting, watch out for the bayonet! It gave me a little nick.

A few people have asked about ammo that they purchased with the Mosin. Ammo doesn't get shipped with firearms and the ammo shipped a few days after the guns went out.
