Mosin Nagants from SIR mail order?

They don't seem to list them on the website, for some reason. I forgot the flyer at home this morning :mad:, but I'll post the catalog # later today if anyone else wants to order one. Or two. Or four :D
 
S.I.R. is "worried about scaring people away" so you actually have to call them to find out about most firearms. There are some listed in "hunting supplies" as well.

just looked at one of the carbines today, i've never handled a mosin before, but i have to say i like the action. would love to get a 91/30.

what is this SIR and flyer you speak of? (im serious)
 
SIR was an outdoors store/ gun shop in Winnipeg that has been bought out by Cabelas. It is still usually referred to as SIR. I think your about 2 years to late for that flyer though.
 
Do not used scout type monuts and scopes on these guns, ie: mounts futher foreward and the mount replaced the rear sight leaf. I've tried it and it's a very poor setup. I had 2 different mounts and a good LER scope and after 10 rounds it was way off so i'm back to iron sights which I can hit with better than that scope setup. If your gonna put a scope on it get the one that goes on the reciever. I'm eventually gonna scope mine but I gotta save some cash because it's getting and orgional PU setup because my m91/30 is a ex-sniper and has the mount holes already there and were plugged when refurbed. A pic to show my old setup, and came from SIR last December for $119.00

thanks for the info.. too bad they got bought out.... another buisness eaten up by the big fish
 
They still remain in business however, with the same products and ( relatively) the same prices. It is also reffered to as Cabelas Canada. They are a store front, like bass pro shops, but also do lots of mail order.

I actually recently started working there at the gun counter, it's still pretty much the same staff. The Mosins are all gone.
