I like the look of the Dragonov scopes reticle, and as such, I would like one to use on a rifle. Since the PSO-1 (And their reproductions) are calibrated for the 7.62 Russian, I figure a rifle in that caliber is in order.
The Tokerev does not look easy, and the AKs are illegal. The vz858 and the SKS are the wrong cartridge, so that leaves the bolt-action mosin! (Or a custom rifle, but I'm not made of money)
I am curious though on what I can do to mount it. The belarussian seller on eBay sells a neat little kit to mount on the receiver, but I'm not sure how or where that mounts, besides, I would prefer to get something a little closer, maybe even make it myself...
how do the original sniper mounts for the mosin work?
finally, which mosin would be best suited for a scope? the M91 or the M44? I would probably chop the bayonet off the m44 if I used that.
