Mosin oil bottle - what should it look like?

Just bought a Mosin Accessory kit from Trade Ex and it arrived today. It all appears authentic except the oil bottle. Is this oil bottle a Russian or a US oil bottle?

My mosin bottle was circular in shape if I recall correctly.

Doesn't look like Russian at all. The Chinese SkSs come with a differnent oil bottle but it's green plastic.

Doubt that the "US" has anything to do with the United States.

Just googled it, it appears russians did have a square can that looks like the above but nothing I found has U S mostly other lettering. Cool though.

Don't think that U and S are Cyrillic characters. Maybe not Soviet.

That is Romanian.

I think I just answered my own question.

It appears on this website they did come from Romania with U.S. on it. Looks like I will be doing some more research. That is why I like this old stuff - lol. In Romanian "Oil" is "ulei"

Did Romanian's use Mosin Nagants 91/30's?
