Mosin Original WW2 Dated Matching Sniper Rifles for SALE!

Quick lesson on sniper/milsup collecting in regards to value/desirability and yes some individual collectors may have a different view points on desirability.
1. All matching un-issued rifle - eg. K98 bring back from the factory
2. All matching issued rifle - eg. K98 bring back form the field
3. All matching refurb rifle (with scope if a sniper) - eg. Korean rebuilt M1D sniper from the CMP
4. All matching forced matched rifle (with scope if a sniper) -eg. These 91/30 snipers
5. Sniper clone - Repro 91/30 snipers sold previously

The rifles we are talking about are #4 if advertised honestly.
Now it is possible for an individual to build a sniper from original parts. For example there are some original T* Enfield snipers that no longer have their scope/mount. But if someone finds the orignal parts, they can complete that sniper. It is still a sniper, just not an all matching sniper. The same parts make up the rifle, it is non-matching, but nevertheless it is still a sniper. CMP M1D snipers for example are government refurbed rifles, made with original parts in the sniper configuration. However the individual parts were also sold as surplus and these parts are often used to build M1D snipers. Yes these builds are still snipers, just not all matching snipers. This is why only CMP certified M1D's are considered 100% matching M1D snipers and command premium pricing as a result..

These rifles appear to be WWII produced sniper rifles that have been refurb'd and forced matched to original mounts/scopes. They are still snipers - but forced matched/refurb'd snipers. They are simply a variation of the original.

For example, Norwegian K98's and RC K98's. These rifles are no longer all matching original K98 rifles as issued by the Wehrmacht. However, they are collector variations in their own right, with their own unique history. These K98's discussed above were refurb'd and forced matched, but they are still K98's. These rifles still have collector value, but not as much as an all matching as issued rifle.

If you can find an all matching original 91/30 Sniper, buy it. If you only collect non-refurb'd/original as issued rifles don't buy these current 91/30 snipers. However, if you do want a refurb'd sniper which is forced matched and made with original WWII components, please order a rifle before these sell out. They will sell out! They will increase in value!

I remember purists hacking on RC K98's and in only four years they have increased in value between $100-200 and yes they are still not as valuable as an all matching as issued rifle.

Now there is the possibility that the scopes are fakes and the rifles are converted standard rifles -aka sniper clone. If this is the case, the forger has paid an extensive amount of detail to creating a forced matched/refurb'd sniper (including scope refurbishement markings) and I doubt that someone would go to that amount of trouble. If they were going to fake these rifles, why not fake them as 100% as issued snipers?

Worst case scenario is we are buying these rifles at the same price as 91/30 sniper clones. Yes, West rifle sells a sniper clone for only $599, so I guess I might be paying an extra $50 for those fake refurb markings???? I don't want to hack on West rifle as he sells a good product and has good service.

There's too much "Cry Baby" going on over a $650 rifle!

Do you guys count the Fries with your order at McDonalds???

Do you count how many Corn Flakes are in a box to see that you didn't get ripped off??? :D

Enjoy it for what it is. It's a shooter. It's refurbed. Now go to the range.

Now lets here some range reports and see some targets and videos from the range!

...but the bullets are too expensive...

So we've come to the conclusion these are most likely issued sniper's that have been refurbished with correct (but no matching scopes).

Can anyone tell me whats the difference between the Tradeex ones and the Ones SFRC is selling from North Sylvia? :p

I believe them to be the same rifles.

Yes, JP has compared the repro snipers and the new batch and has seen differences between them, enough that they are obviously not the same thing from the same source. I'll listen to him.

All the clues add up to...they're worth at least the asking price.

Well I guess I'll go where I'm going to save $50.00 unless something is different with TRADEEX to justify the extra $50.00

Is there really a difference in value between tula or Ishevsh?

Tradex told me he thinks Izhevsk is better quality than Tula. He said some big collectors came and bought Izhevsk over Tula.

But some feel Tula is a bit rarer and thus more desirable. I like both about equally. Chocolate or strawberry.

Got an izzy sniper today

I got my IZZY sniper today, another awesome deal with weimajack:) Let's see somes pics and we talk after.

The rifle in box, wrapped in a brown paper.

1944 Ishevsk,as far as i saw, alls parts appear to be Ishevsk,no electro pencil on the rifle.
IMG_0822-1.jpg

Various factory stamps are still visible on the stock.
IMG_0825.jpg

IMG_0824.jpg

Many tools marks on scope mount base. The base is a tiny bit farther foward than on my sniper clone.
IMG_0823.jpg

IMG_0836.jpg

Markings on the receiver wall that are not present on my sniper clone.
IMG_0827.jpg

The bent bolt is smoother than my clone, no grinding mark appear.
IMG_0828.jpg

The bore is excellent, like new condition.

IMG_0842.jpg

IMG_0841.jpg

Tools and oiler.
IMG_0840.jpg

The scope was wrapped in a thick waxed paper.
IMG_0833.jpg

Scope made at "progress" (Leningrad plan) in 1942 Its a SVT scope but dont have the usual recalibration CB marking for SVT scope fitted to M91/30
IMG_0834.jpg

Glass are nice and clear.
IMG_0838.jpg

scope have been refurb at some time. Turrets work perfect.
IMG_0835.jpg

Overall,a very nice rifle.
IMG_0839.jpg

The rifle is quite different from my clone, the bolt handle, finish on the stock. They are refurb yes but i do believe they are real sniper and honestly at that price with wartime optic, was too good deal to pass on. I hope to have some time soon for range testing.

*Edit*
This morning,i took a close up pic from the left side of the barrel shank were they stamped the scope number. Maybe not evident on the pic but that area have been ground off and the new number was stamped. We can feel a slight depression were the old number have been ground off so in my opinion, thoses were original built sniper rifle and been refurb post war as JP said.

Glad to see some detailed pics. In my opinion. Re-furb'd/forced matched snipers made up of WWII components (as advertised). Tula made more 91/30's (standard models) but made fewer Snipers (production during 1943/1944 only). Lots of debate over which maker is better. For some reason, people lean towards Tulas. I see Jean at PS changed his pricing and both makers are sold at $650 (via a price difference between makers). Weimar Jack sells his slightly higher but are "hand picked" with pics provided, tradex is random selection and PS has descriptions but no individual pics as the moment. I trust Jean's descriptions so I went with his rifles. Some of these do have mis-matched floor plates and post war stocks. I wanted matching forced matched rifles with original WWII wood.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
SURPRISE FOR MY

Look under the hand guard , the import mark is there

All in all, for $650 and a few fistfulls and pocketfuls of spare change, not too bad!

Very reminescent of the refurb workmanship and looks of the RC K98.

Some grinding, some sanding, some reblue dip, some renumbering and Electro Pencil.

Not unmolested like the early imports. But that's all there is now.
