Mosin prices?

Picked up a numbers matching Tula, hex receiver w/bayonet Mosin a few months ago for $315, haven’t seen many in my area (sask) for sale so also kinda curious wether it was a good deal or not.

picked one recently for $380, Tula, with bayo, all #`s matching. Not that many here, even a year ago I could get it for $200. But those days are over. Seems that these rifles will go up and up in price soon. Kind of collectable item.

I picked up an m44 at cabelas in Edmonton on my way south 3weeks to a month ago for $325 (right place, right time I believe) it's a 1944 production war time stock with replaced Handgaurd and arsenal repaired On The front of the stock (I assume what hit there destroyed the Handgaurd) it's all numbers matched, the only restamp seems to be the butt plate, it's pretty ugly has early bayo assembly came with the sling. I could flip it but why bother it looks good beside the no5 mk1, there are deals out there still I suppose...

glad I bought one a few years back, a tula 1932 in very good condition and a perfect shooter. I shoot cast in my gun and can hit targets way out there.

I remember west rifle had them on for $100 a piece just as the registry was dying, but I was on an enfield kick and all my extra $ was going to ammo for the enfields and cheap sks's, I kick myself, I told my wife who convinced me not to buy a crate of them that the prices had gone up, she replied "that was stupid it probably would have been a decent short term investment", yes because I would have sold them allllll, right.....

Nice hex guns are 350 all day long. Nice round receivers are at least 300. Add money for unusual markings and premiums for SA or other variants. Retail Mosins are a joke right now. They are scraping the bottom of the barrel and the quality or lack of it really shows.
Anyone who tells you their Mosin Nagant is 100% numbers matching either has a unicorn or didn't do any research. Mosin refurbs are 99% of the market - the other 1% are true numbers matching, non refurb'd museum grade guns.
I just traded a 1932 Tula "matching" refurb gun for an M38 so what's that deal worth. Even money...

Be wary though, like other guns the tend to multiply into different models now and again And there is so many to choose from...
M91 are my favourites and the carbines, the 91's don't fit my safe well the 91/30's just, the carbines though are no problem, if I was getting just one it would have to be a model 38 or 91/59 lighter and no use for a bayonet, usually a little bit pricier though. seen a few 38 in the 450 to 650 range with shipping on top of that...

True enough. M38's are all over the map price-wise. Run of the mill M38 should go for 450 to 500 (it better be nice). Maybe a "special" M38 may bring higher but someone is buying it for a special marking. There's an arab one on the EE right now but I wouldn't pay that kind of money for paint on a stock. They fit in the gun safe just fine and create a stir when they're on the range. I love the fire breathers!

Refurbs are technically 100% matching too, they are just not factory matching.
Factory matching rifles are not common but definitely something one can find.

Good point. Force matched does count along with the grinding of the bolt. Maybe the right thing to say is original parts, no force matched.
Basically no arsenal refurb???

An untouched Mosin - that's like a bottle of beer after prohibition...

I buy mine 300 $ shipped but the barrel and the stock wass cut down  the old owner add a standar scope and cut the stock realy short so he was able to see through. I pay more that I shoud.
