Mosin refurb sniper from Wolverine

i think most are force matched referbes ,if i were looking to buy a pu91/30 sniper i would be inclined to look for a tula made rifle dated 1943-45 with a war time dated scope .I also think most of these rifles are real sniper rifles although they may not have all their original parts.I didnt get one from wolverine but i did get one from P&S guns and militira and it was ready to go right out of the box i was real pleased with it so much so i ordered another one a beautiful 1943 Tula with a 1942 SVT 40 scope
 
I got mine from wolverine and it was all matching 1944 tula and the stock and scope and gun were all date 1944 to. The bore was brand new, perfect, never been fired the only bad part the stock was poorly painted with shellac. It look like Ivan slapped it on in a hurry there some one the magazine and the receiver by the wood line.
I love it its really awesome and is super accurate and the best part the irons sights are even bang on.

Gordon you scooped me! Ha ha. I was trying to decide if I wanted that one or if the last Tula with the war dated stock had a serial dated scope, which it doesnt. By the time Jean got back to me you had already scooped my second choice. Lol.

I ended up ordering PS2474, the last one with a war dated scope. I couldn't afford to take a risk, this will be the only new milsurp rifle I will be able to buy until at least september. Besides, P&S has been great to deal with, bought my first milsurp that wasnt handed down to me from them.
 
good to hear you got the last one ,i was also looking for quite a while and kept checking Jeans inventory and figured i had better make a move before it was too late, figured it was a pretty good deal as the scope alone sells for 500 .Will see how it shoots when it gets here.
 
Absolutely, can't wait to get some ammo loaded up for mine and try it out too.

I hate coming down to the wire like that, especially when I have to sell one gem to buy another. I'll miss my M1917 but I'll enjoy this one a lot more. A broken collarbone a few years ago and the weird shape of the buttplate on that M17 didn't mix well. It turned my shoulder green in about five shots. Plus I've been trying everything I could to put money away for one of these but it just never happened.
 
west rifle as a nice rubber but pad for the moison negant i have never used one but all reports give this product a good name.Not much difference between the but plate of the negant and the m17 if anything the moison butt plate has sharper edges as compared to the m17 which seem to be a little more rounded but not much difference between the two the 30-06 may have a little more recoil not sure ,just my two cents worth .The main thing is to enjoyment that comes from owneing such a great peice of history holding it ,shooting it and wondering where its been. a feeling that for me you just can not get from a modern day hunting rifle
 
I agree 100%. Maybe that was another part of the reason it was easy to let the M17 go. There wasn't much mystery to its history, PCMR rifle that likely didn't leave a rack ever. Just too pristine and a non refurbed rifle to boot. It didn't give me that 'feeling'.
