Mosin Silvertip

I have had people tell me of the very good accuracy They get from Chinese copper Wash. Could be their rifle likes it, could be different accuracy standards.

How does it compare to the other ammo you have?
People talk about how the silver tip stuff is better but is it really?

I know that question wasn't directed at me, but I've used the light bullet rounds being called "silver tip" in several M91 and M91/30 rifles.

I don't find it to be any more accurate than other ammo, as long as everything is equal. A rifle with an excellent bore will usually shoot it all very well, unless the loads are deteriorating or there are other issues.

The one thing I do like about this ammo is the lower recoil levels and I suspect this is one reason why so many people like to shoot it and shoot it better than heavier fodder.

Thanks Bearhunter. That gives me something to think about, because even though I use a butt pad, the recoil of my MN makes me tense up (maybe even flinch).
I handload .44 magnum rounds to .44 Russian level in order to deal with this situation, so I guess I should think about doing the same for my MN.
