Never seen or heard of an original matching Russian for sale. Hungarians $2000+.

The very vast majority of russian Mosin rifles(sniper and regular ones) have gone to a refurb one time or another, very unlikely to find untouched one.

There are original like-new mosins out there that were imported prior to 1990 - quite rare though.

My guess is around $1500 or so.

Prices for a real one are sure to go down I think due to the recent swampage of "all matching" specimens flooding the market in recent weeks.

Milarm had one before the Sniper Clones arrived about four years ago. They were asking for between $1200-1500. With gun inflation I am sure the rifle would sell for $1500+ if on the current market.

FWIW - that is just photo-laser etching into the blueing layer. If you re-blued that bbl, the import mark would vanish.
