Hey guys

I just got my 4th mosin from westrifle. The last ones trigger is very sloppy, feels like it takes like an 1'' over 10 pounds to pull it.
Is there any way to make it somewhat more crisp?

Timney triggers may be fine, but anyone with minor skills and common sense can improve the mosin's trigger pull. Full details with pictures on surplusrifle forum. Only a screwdriver, makeshift pin punch and fine sandpaper req'd. My 91 is down to 5.5 pounds, my finn 91/30 to 3 pound. Have fun and test thouroughly before firing.

Be careful with the huber concepts triggers they can break your bolt stop return spring if you wind them right up. At least that is my experience. Does it make the trigger better? You bet your commy butt! However I'm more intrigued by a timney. I didn't know timney made a trigger for the nagant. DETAILS PLEASE!

Check out the Timney website for information on their many aftermarket triggers. Blue Mountain Sports has them in stock in New Brunswick and probably other dealers in Canada do as well.

I got my 91/30 today, and when I tried the trigger, I didn't find it as bad as what most people say it is. Obviously it's not as nice as my K-31 or Mauser commercial 98 but it broke crisply and lightly once the slack was taken up.

Just stoned and polished the sears some more. I bent the sear/spring just slightly, removed the shim and voila a nice 3lb trigger. I read an article in firingline.forums post#15 about how the Finns did their conversion and pretty much copied it. Works for me.
