Mosin weak extraction

Alright guys, here's another little head scratcher for you. I've got a nice 1927 Izhevsk Mosin-Nagant who just refuses to extract right about 50% of the time. I'll open the bolt (which tends to be a difficult thing to do), and the fired brass just sort of drops off of the extractor once the rim touches the outer edge of the ejector. Does anyone now how to remedy this issue?

I'm not trying to be a smart ass but how hard are you working the bolt?
Are you pulling it back with authority, or gently and lightly?

If you open the bolt after firing a round and pull back on it quickly and with force how you are supposed to, does it still just barely eject?

The ejector might not be protruding into the receiver enough.
It may be bent back slightly and perhaps just the tip of the extractor which pushes the cartridge off the bolt face isn't in the reciever enough to work properly?

It could also be an issue with the extractor on the bolt but I would make sure that the ejector is where it should be and in proper condition.

Could be the tip is broken off the extractor or more likely, you are working the bolt to gently. Yank it like ya mean it! You could also sell it to me for a song, I dont have a 27 91/30 yet.

Trust me, I open that bolt like it's the envelope on my paycheck! If there's one thing that owning an 1897 has taught me, it's that babying guns gets you nowhere in a hurry. As for the other suggestions, would it help if I posted pictures of my rifle? For what it's worth, I've noticed that cases will fall off of the bolt head with easy finger pressure.

OK, there's a few too many pictures to just post every single one of them, so I'm just going to link to the photobucket album that they're in.

Also, I think that the issue may be remedied; I followed the advice of a particularly sagely fellow who recommended I peen the extractor slightly to make it fit in it's slot. This has had considerable effect, but if there's anything that I've missed, let me know.
