Il be going to Winnipeg Friday and il be passing through Brandon and I'm wondering is there a store that sell Mosin Nagants? I feel like stashing away a few nice ones as an investment of sorts. Seems like a smart thing to do right? Better yet its a pretty good excuse lol.;)

Jo Brook may have some. Also a guy a few blocks away from them called The Wood Joynt. Operates out of his garage and usually has some milsurps.

Wholesale sports in the city had exactly one on display last week. Not sure if there's more in the back.

Also the Canadian tire on south kenaston had quite a few a few months back

There's also a nice little store in Winkler called Dominion Outdoors if you're taking the scenic route. They often have a selection, but I've not been there in months.

Still a few at Canadian Tire Kenaston last week, and Wholesale Sports had three or four left on the rack a couple days ago. The Canadian Tire on Leila was also stocking a variety of milsurps, though I haven't made it over that way lately to check the selection. They did have Russian capture K98's, K31's, piles of SKS and Mosins in both sniper and standard configuration. Cases of surplus ammo there too if you need.

I recently seen a few mosins and Russian sks at Jo Brooks, none at Home Hardware or the Wood Joynt. The Wood Joynt did have a cz vz24 and a swiss k11 the last time I looked. Around Christmas I went to the Canadian Tire on Leila and they had mosins, mosin snipers, swiss k11 and k31, bunch of sks in different stocks and Russian capture mausers. If you are passing by Virden, drop by Wolverines.

Then again maybe it was sks's but still worth a visit.

When I ask at home hardware Brandon the senior didn't even know what a mosin was. I wouldn't lie to you about that. Another is that home hardware will always write down your information when you buy the gun. I picked nice sweet sks and then said No! Senior, you cannot write my information. Senior called his boss, seniorita, and seniorita tried to tell me that they "had to" write my information down. Seniorita says to me ' it is the law". I say No! seniorita it is not the law I know it. I read the law on gunnutz. She tried to lie to me. Puta

Well I wound up picking up a nice 1942 Izhvesk 91/30 with a nice wartime stock at Canadian tire on keneston they only have one mosin. The other one there has post war stock Izvesk forget the year(40 something), has a tight barrel( I marked how deeply bullets went it the crown of my mosins to help gauge the barrel) but couldn't look down it, it also has a nice shinny early bolt. There was 7-8 sks, they looked good all were Tula and there was one with a laminated stock.

The ammo was a little pricy. they were putting out 7.62x39 barnault and he said it was 10$ for 20 rounds as if it was a good deal.

CT Selkirk also has guns. SKS's were the only milsurps I've seen there and then the usual 22lr and hunting rifles. CT Leila is the best I think.

Thanks for the heads up on the Leila CT having a great selection. The south Kenaston location also has a very knowledgeable manager running that department. The firearms department in the Selkirk CT seems to be almost an oversight for every employee in the store, but it's very nice to see that they have the option available.
The last time I was at Xtreme they were selling Mosin's for a little bit more than site sponsors, but they had re-crowned every rifle to improve accuracy.
