How do the Mosin Nagants sold by West Rifle compare to the ones at Trade-Ex or P&S? $100 for a shooter grade Mosin, yet Trade-Ex is $125. Any major differences?

I've only bought from TradeEx because I've never been disappointed.
SVT-40, SKS and Mosin Nagant have all been in excellent condition.

The rifles I've bought from Westrifle have been nothing short of spectacular. I've played "Mosin Roulette" and won every time. Fast shipping, good communications, and active forum members.
I've also bought rifles from Badger and can't say enough good things about them.

I baught three Mosin Nagant from Westrifle this month. I am very satisfied with the three. One of them is average but the other two are very very good and one with an absolutly georgeous stock. They are all 100$ Mosin.

I ain'y baught Mosin from Tradexx but did buy a Vz-24 and SVT-40. I was very happy with both and expect Tradexx to offer the same kind of quality with all their products.

Did you choose your $100 Mosin from the special selection? Or did you let them pick it for you? Are your 3 matching?

I take a couple of hours and go to all the listing of the 100$ Mosin. Then i select the three serial number i like the most and order them. I did recive the exact one i chose and they are matching from the bayonet to the steel but plate.:):):):):)

Again, very happy with the purchase and the service.

The bore on mine was pretty good, sharp rifling and deep grooves, grooves were dark but lands were bright.

However, notwithstanding all the guys who are very happy with their Westrifle Mosin Nagants, not all are as good as the ones the guys above describe. Mine came with a broken barrel band retainer, no help from Westrifle, it took a lot of effort and $20 to get a replacement. Also, mine was obviously a battlefield pick up that had rusted heavily before being refurbed, it had been stripped and re-blued but surface is rough and mottled due to the heavy rust that had been on it.

I have one from Tradex that is superb and will likely be in my gun case forever. When you phone in an order to Tradex you will get what you want in better condition than they describe.

I appreciate your honest opinion. Thanks.

I pulled the trigger on one (pardon the pun). I just wanted one as a quad rifle.
As long as its a good bore I don't care.

Wow where is all the people who send us thank you emails for beautiful rifles and best service. Come one post pictures and say something as it counts.
Now to answer many posts here.
All Mosins come to Canada from the same supplier, except Westrifle. We fly to Russia and pick out our own so we see what we buy before we bring it here. For that reason we don't sell parts from our rifles, we don't have crappy rifles so that we tale parts from there. If we can point you the right direction we always do.
ALL of our rifles are matching ones from top to bottom. GUARANTEED.
We provide cheapest prices in Canada because we are importers and distributors. Guaranteed.

What are the bores like on the westrifle 100 dolla mosins?

The bore on the rifle i got from Wesrifle are very very good. I am not an expert, but i own almost a dozen milsurp rifle and these 100$ rifle got, have good or better bore that every other milsurp i own, even high dollars ones.

I even take one to the range on Sunday and i answer about 200 questions from other shooters ( Mosin are pretty much unknown in my part of the country i guess), all the guy's were impress by the beauty of the rifle and when i told them the price i paid, thay all laught. I offer the rifle to a guy who shot masive 300 wsm bullet trough a 2500$ Belgian rifle and geuss wath ??????? he did better with the 100$ rifle that he did with the 2500$.:eek::eek:

He also did better than me:(

Anyway, i can't speek for anybody but i realy like the ones i got and i think that everybody should get one of these ,while they are still available. It's a quality rifle at a toy price.

Thats my humble opinion.

I guess I'm the exception. I have bought many dozens of rifles from many sources, and my last purchase from them (the previous were good, but this will be my last from them) was a huge miss. A Mosin M91/30 with bore advertized as VG was Poor-Good. I sent it back (and paid the shipping) and received a replacement with an even worse bore. They have written me off and I them.

Westrifle's "guarantee" means nothing. Far better to go to Tradex or SFRC.

I've picked up two in the last few months, bores were shiny, very strong, and measurements from slugging were that of new rifles. A hundred bucks is a score for this batch of rifles. I filled most of my tags last year with a Westrifle Mosin.
