Mosins

.... I can stop anytime..... really.... just one more.... oh hell, I admit it, I can't.... but I suppose there is alot worse I could spend my money on.

I can stop any time myself. I already have 2 Westrifle Mosins. Just one more of their $100 ones and I'll Quit. Really.
I had my best one out to the range last week and consistently hit the 14" gong at 200 yards 4 out of 5 times. Love that metalic THWACK. it makes.

It is simple the ones on the combo is the more expensive ones. If you want cheaper 100 dollar rifle and ammo just buy those separately.
As to difference in rifles. There is shooters grade with scratches on the stock or other small imperfections and there is 150 dollars ones which are in better condition or have historical value.

If you have any questions just email us at master@westrifle.com

Cheers,

maybe somebody could explain this to me-Westrifle has a crate of ammunition for $309 and a mosin for $100-but their''special''rifle/ammo combo is $444....what am I missing here?

Here is the difference in a pre-war(1936 Tula) bayonet and a 1942 Izhevsk bayonet.
The rifles that go with these bayo's tell the same story.

I find really hot water and a rag do the trick, I did a total detailed strip of my rifle with cleaning and lubrication in about 1.5hrs.

From what I read and seen on utube I thought it wasn't supposed to get wet because it will expand the wood and warp.

I don't soak it, I drop the wooden stock in my industrial sink, run super hot water down it, wipe it out... no different than being out in the bush and having it rain

hmm i might have to try that because mine is caked! It came off the metal parts easy. The sooner i get it all out the sooner i can break er in :) ps. anyone know what size brass brush i need for her? thanks

I decided to try to bake the stock in the oven before I moved onto the water and the oven seems to have worked pretty good a ton of it came out after thinking I had most of it out so I think i'm going to give it a few more oven baths then she is getting put back together locked up and stashed away while I think of a name for her.

I just got 2 $100 Mosins from Westrifle. These are positively the last (probably)
I orderd them Monday and they arrived yesterday. Very nice looking with bright bores.
I will take them to the range first chance and see how well they shoot.
The least of them is going to be turned into a carbine (collectors shudder). It is a project I have been looking forward to for a while.

Ordered October 28, shipped same day, arrived Edson, AB on October 30, sat in the Edson post office for three days. Neat how it takes longer to walk it across the room than it does to ship it transprovincially.

Brother picked up yesterday and is very pleased indeed.

Thanks very much to the Westrifle crew for a cool birthday present.

Anyone get one from Tradex

I got one from Tradex last year. I was pleasantly surprised at what I received. Didn't need a lot of cleaning. Some cosmoline here and there. As I heard and read about it did shoot high at 50/100 yards. But all in all it was a very nice rifle. 1931 Tula with hex receiver. It is a pain in the butt to have to adjust the sights to get it to shoot lower but what the heck do you expect. I removed the front sight pin and found some pin in my workshop and just tapped it in. I have to re sight it in to see how it shoots. That'll have to wait but I'm sure I can get it shooting to as close as I need it to. Overall...pretty satisfied. Good people to deal with.
