I will going black bear hunting, I have a great bug suit but am in the market for some hand protection, I can't seem to find a bug glove, any advice would be great, cause I know those bugs can be bad...

For crying out loud, anyone that afraid of bugs, or anyone that can't put a bit of "Off" on their hands, should, in my opinion, stay in the house.

while duck hunting i wear a "mesh" type camo glove, and it offers some protection. your best bet to keep mobility up is lots of deep woods off, or if smell is a concern ive heard that covoring your hands in the smell of smoke can work also.

Clearly you guys have never been sitting over bait in a cedar swamp in june.

fratri,
I take it you'll be doing an automne bear hunt? The bugs shouldn't be that bad, but you'll still want to keep your movements to a bare minimum. Forget deep woods (odor), and forget those crappy mesh gloves (bugs still get through them) I use surgical rubber gloves, they work great. You might also wanna use a thermacell if the bugs get real bad.

Good Luck

Bingo!! Outlawed here do to too many senceless bug related injuries. Guys swatting bugs and falling out of trees, guys swatting bugs and accidently shooting the guy in the next tree. You know stuff like that.:)

For the rest of you with those non helpful comments..... never mind, life is to short....wish me luck

If you act fast I can drop off a brand new pair tonight, or wait till tomorrow. I have a 5pm appointment in Brantford, and lots of new camo mesh gloves, the price is right, even a pair for that sharpshooter kid of yours.
I will send you a PM with my email in case I am already on the road.
