mosquito sport model, can you loose the barrel weight?

thinkin bout buyin a used mosquito local, but its the sport, and i dont really like the looks of that big weight, i'd rather have the threaded end model. can you switch out the barrels, can you take off the weight anyway? thanks.


also, if you can remove that weight, are you out of luck for front sights?

If the front sight is attached to it, I wouldn't take it off.

When I bought the kit it came with extra front sights. You'll notice that there is a plastic plug where the front sight usually goes at the end of the slide. It's there so that it doesn't get confused with the sight on the weight. Just take off the weight, and remove the plastic plug from the front of the slide and insert one of the two extra front sights.
