Mossberg 100 AT Rifle...

When Mossberg bought Charter Arms they got this rifle. Charter Arms made it and sold it, calling it the "Raptor". You might find reviews and comments on the internet for the Raptor, and I heard that some people thought the build quality poor, but bear in mind that Mossberg may have improved it since then. It is made in the U.S.A, so that probably means it is made in the same factory that Charter was using. I have read two comments from people who were reporting personal experience, and they both said they were pleased with theirs (One of those positive reports I read was by a member on this site: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/viewtopic.php?t=97840 .) I have read one comment on another forum which was that they are crap, but I don't remember that person saying they actually had one.
If I were spending my own money on a low-budget bolt-action in 30-06 or .270, I might try one of these, for curiousity's sake. If anyone asked me what they should buy, I'd probably play it safe and say a Stevens 200, but I'd hope they'd ignore my advice and get a Mossberg and tell us if it's any good.
