I was given one of these in the summer time by an uncle of mine. I just figured it was a regular old .22 to add to the collection so I didn't think anything of it. The other day I went and took it out into the woods to try and it. Just 50 rounds. I was blown away. It is the smoothest .22 rifle I have ever shot. It definately gives my 10/22 a run for the money as my go to semi rimfire. Does anyone else have one of these or any information about them. I have not really found to much on the internet about them but what I have found has been all positive.

I have the 151 M model which is the same action as yours. great gun for the money and accurate as any other taper barrel. I love the stock loading and the 15 lr capacity. mine have the full wood stock and looks like a military issue. With the proper sights, they can be tack drivers, they eat all ammo and for the age of them, very little maintenance necessary besides a clean action, They are so easy to clean over all the rest of the semis I have had. Enjoy it as I sure do...but the gophers don't.

Yeah this gun probably was not fired for 20 years. The action was a little bit gummy but it ate the ammo up no problem. My 10/22 can't say that unless i am using Stingers, then it is flawless but this thing ate cheap federal ammo up even with rapid fire. The old scope might need to be taken off in exchange for something a little better. I notice mine only has a front site, I wonder if the rear one was removed for the scope. Is there anywhere to get parts for it as I was thinking of getting a peep for the rear site. if not I will just get a better scope for it.

Havlin Sales in USA sells a replica peep for most Mossbergs. With exchange and shipping fees, tax etc. about $100 CDN funds. I have scopes on my Mossys and the long shots are much easier. Most rear sights are removed due to the front bell of a scope.

Weird. I just found out the .22 in my dads basement is his dads 151k. It hasn't been shot in probably around 30 years and needs a good cleaning. I've been devouring all the info I can find on this rifle and everything I hear is good. Can't wait to get it cleaned up and take it out. I want to test this fabled accuracy first hand.
