I haven't done any research on the topic and thought I'd toss it out there. Would I be able to toss the tactical butt of the Mossberg 464 SPX onto an older Winchester model 94????. Is there an adapter available? Thanks for any help.

yah, i expected these kinds of replies, I prefer the telescoping stock on any rifle because of the practicality. Back in the army we had the C7A1 which had the regular pistol grip non telescoping stock and we hated it. The C7A2 had the telescoping stock which was nice because when you have full FFO (Flac and Tac) on you can adjust the stock to use the Elcan a little easier. On my 94, it would be nice when i got a vest and bulky ass winter jacket on.

Do whatever you can, or want to do with a firearm of your own, and never mind what the fudds say.:)

Woo Hoo! I've just been called a Fudd! It's true, I don't think anyone has any need for a gun that is younger than 1964. For me, things are either
pre-1964 or post-1964. Or would it be better to call me a LUDD because I like every sort of gun, just as long as it is old?:wave:

Tis all good input, new I'd stir up something with this post. I would never in a million years do the conversion if it was permanent, even though adapters usually are. I do love the 94 in classic wood don't get me wrong. It's my favourite rifle in the collection. I'll probably just end up buying the 464 SPX, I personally think it's pretty slick looking.

Good point.... If you are gonna have a crappy plastic stock, you should really pair it with a crappy action too :).....

Seriously though.... If you like it and don't want to all it why not get it modified to fit you?....

COYOTE489 & hollowedpoint;

If you plan on acquiring a SPX here are some ideas from my rifle to consider:

6 x mods total:
- Magpul CTR comm spec stock
- Magpul cheek riser
- Magpul extended buttpad
- Paracord wrapped lever
- Fab Defense hand stops
- Rail cover inserts

LOP at longest is 14.5", at shortest is 11.5".

The sights are fantastic, and the gun is a lazer.

The green paint on the receiver can also be removed with some solvent, leaving only the etched graphic.
