Good day SO, I am interested in this firearm could you tell me what model year this firearm is? Ty.

Yes I know what year it was introduced, I am trying to find out the model year of the SPX that Soley's has for sale on there website. Unless you know that?, I appreciate your insight. Ty.

They are light and handy, and nice to shoot - although they look like a monstrosity. The sights on them though are very fragile - not just the hiviz inserts. I regret selling mine many years ago, but I don't think they are worth the going price.

Since Soley's was the only dealer that had a 30-30 in stock and are not far from me I picked up the SPX today, the sights are bright seem sturdy enough, light/maneuverable, excellent adj (LOP) I love the look although some might not agree, seems to cycle very smoothly. Glad I made the purchase thanks Soley Outdoor.

Enjoy! A few years ago on a hunt a friend knocked mine off a chair and that was enough to throw off the zero due to the rear sight.

If I may ask, did you have a scope mounted on your SPX? If so could you let me know what type as well as what type of mounts did you end up using?. Thank you in advance.

On the spx I was using iron sights, on the marine coat 464 I had, I used Weaver Top Mount (two pieces) #403 and use a cheap but functional 1-4 power Bushnell Banner.

After taking your advice/knowledge and doing some more research I came across this company out of Michigan "Kwiksite". I am thinking about getting there specific kit for the 464, instead of buying everything separately. What do you think? Ty for your time.

another option . My henry big boy and marlin 336y have skinner sights now . I had a 464 years Ago . Was shooting bottles at a gravel pit and my rear sight flew off , spent the next half hour searching gravel till i found it.

Either of these options would be great. Peep if using irons would be good.

Contacted Kwik site and they are out of stock and could not tell me when they would resume production of the 464 ring and base kit, (dang it) might have to go back to your original suggestion of the Weaver top mount #403 bases. Thank you for your help, much appreciated.
