The first shipment of 464SPX rifles has just walked in the door about ten minutes ago and I couldn't resist getting it on CGN as soon as possible :D

Probably the most talked-about new rifle of the 2012 SHOT Show was the 464SPX tactical lever action rifle in .30-30 from Mossberg. Everyone had an opinion on Mossberg's design to update the traditional lever action into a modern rifle capable of using tactical modular accessories and featuring the recent improvements of technology -- fiber optics, adjustable stocks, and modern machining.

These guns are very lightweight and extremely short when collapsed. They are non-restricted .30-30s and carry six rounds. They've got adjustable fiber optic sights and a telescopic high-comb stock.

These are in stock and ready to ship immediately!

mossberg makes good products.... but they should have left this idea on the drawing board. sorry mossberg, but im going to have to give you F on this one!!! a tactical 30-30.....fail!!

I for one like the red neck assault rifle or Appalachian assault rifle idea.

I think the stock could have been better executed but I for one like the foregrip, wish they had of added rails to the top for a red dot though...

Like the idea, but definitely want to hold one before committing. If it had a 16" barrell like the 336 youth it would be a really cool compact bush gun.

Wow, those are actually cheaper than I was expecting them to be. I'm torn between oh-god-that's-ugly and hmm-that's-kinda-neat. I'm tempted to buy one just to have one. :yingyang:

I honestly thought that this was some kind of Photoshop joke! I had to look on the Wanstall site to make sure it was real. I wouldn't buy one but I'm sure there will be people lining up for them. Cheers to Wanstall for bringing in new products!

its no more expensive then other lever actions, and it looks bad ass. when funding comes, plan on buying one. I first saw theses in my cabelas catalogue. there is also one with a muzzle break.

Agreed --- it is the stock. I think an all black model with a standard synthetic would have done it for the introduction --- that, I would want. Today.
