Hey all;
I recently purchased a used Mossberg 500 Tri rail 12 gauge here on CGN, and received it a couple weeks ago. I had to go away for work, and upon my return, took the thing out to have a go. Loaded it up with 7 rounds in the magazine and racked the action to feed the first round into the chamber. To my surprise the gun went click, and upon inspection I observed that there was no round in the chamber. So, I cycled it again and still nothing.....this went on to my disappointment.
If I really slam the thing back, a round will feed, however, the force required is excessive to say the least. I know very little about these things. I did take it apart and give it a good cleaning, but the problem still exists.
Any ideas as to what causes this problem. At present, the gun is obviously less than reliable.
Should I send it in to Mossberg for service, or is there something I can do myself...
It's also missing the two side rails on the foregrip...anyone know where I can get two replacements?
Thanks.
