Mossberg 500 light primer strikes

Does any one know what may cause intermittent light primer strikes on my Mossberg 500?
I had it stored with to bolt open, could that have affected the firing pin spring?

Pull trigger group out ( slowly and carefully) and see if rear cross pin has walked sideways. Plastic housing is U shaped at rear, pin just above. Could be a warranty thing.

Had this happen once. Used 5 min epoxy, just a skim, on both sides of pin.
