mossberg 500 persuader

Picked one of these up today...my first shotgun.
How the hell do I put the barel in? The manual instructions are not working for me, they say to push down a certain little lever, and it just wont move.

push the action button near the trigger guard to activate the pump. Slide pump handle rearwards, insert barrel into action and tighten the big screw attached to the barrel.

When you disassemble it, make sure that you have 3 hands to hold the shell holders in place.

I purchased my mossberg 590, it was the first shotgun I had ever held, let alone taken apart!
I learned how to load that bad buy over the counter, and took her home.
