As long as the overall length is a minimum of 26" it will be non-restricted.
that's with a filded stock right?

I've got another question, didin't want to start another thread....

What about Norinco N870 (Rem. 870copy) 14in barrel if I'll get a folding stock for it will it still be non restricted. anyone knows what would OAL be?

I believe 14" barrel is too short unless you get the knoxx pistol grip which has an extension on it; but yeah, generally it is prohibited with a 14" barrel.

That's for any stock, as long as the overall length of the firearm is a minimum of 26" it is non-restricted. If you had a 28" hunting barrel on it you could leave it without any type of butstock or pistol grip and it would still be non-restricted, just a little hard to fire:D

This is the ONE folder i've heard of which is long enough so that you're still legal.

That'd be this one;

As you can see - the rear extends a little further than most folders to accomodate the 'anti-recoil' system. I've been TOLD - but haven't measured - that this is enough extra length to accomodate a 14 inch 870 and still meet the OAL requirement - but you'd want to talk to knoxx first and find out before you ordered it.

If you're not set on a folder there are a couple brands of collapseable stocks out there that would work. Overall length of my 14" with an AR adapter and stock is around 32" collapsed.

What if it comes stock w/o modificiation with a pistol grip and is under 26" in total length? Would it still be prohibited?
