Mossberg 500 spx

I am looking for my first "tactical" shotgun. I recently handled one of theese in the local shop and they seem good for the money. Being a remington/ beretta shotgun guy i have never owned a mossberg before. Does anyone here have one or have any thoughts on them ?

Youve handled it and liked it well the only other thing a shotgun does is click then boom. If you like it so far get it you wont be dissapointed. If your planning on playing dress up with it id get a 870 or a grizz due to the availibility of tacticool stuff.

More concerned on how reliable it is.

Ive put a couple hundred rounds through a buddies had one fte but it might have been a ammo (low brass target load) short stroke problem. I dont think youll be disapointed,normaly id suggest a remington but their quality seems to be going to #### lately.

Mossberg 500 SPX

I picked one up last year, great shotgun, very reliable, not too pricey. It's also very tactical looking right out of the box. Weight is 6.75 pounds unloaded, all depends on what you want it for.

If you pay over $550.00 for a brand new one, it's too much.
