I picked up a Mossberg 500 3 barrel combo over the holidays and noticed some issues with the rear sight on the turkey barrel. At it's lowest adjustment it still seems like it will shoot insanely high. Also, there should be a notch to adjust windage, but it's missing so the sight moves side to side way too easily. I haven't patterned it yet, but these are obvious issues.

I'm considering mounting a low profile red dot on the vent rib, like a Vortex Venom. Either that or replacing the factory sights with some Tru-Glo fibre optic turkey sights.

Has anyone else experienced issues with the factory rear sight? Can anyone recommend a red dot mount for the rib (preferably from Canada), or some decent replacement open sights? Cheers!

Its a 500 it should be tapped for a rail. A low powered scope is ideal for turkey. Really helps to make sure they are bearded if wet from walking thru the grass
I use a fixed 4x32 myself
