Besides the different mag tube features, is there anything functionally different from a 590 that makes it better than a 500? Are the parts more refined? Is there a more rigorous manufacturing procedure? Are 500's just as functional as a 590?

Sights are different, right? I must have seen a dozen 590 videos on Youtube today, and it looked like they had sights differing from the 500.

trigger group housing is metal not plastic. the A1 has a heavy walled barrell, most come with ghost ring sights, parkerized finish instead of painted or blued. and overall everything feels alot tighter on the 590 vs. the 500.

Other than the magtubes the only differences I am aware of are that 590 models starting with "51" in their model number should have a heavier walled barrel and may have a metal trigger guard and safety button that other 500's and 590's don't have.
